This drawing is a draft general arrangement for technical assessment only. Not for
construction.
Genset rating: 4 × CAT 3512B rated at 1,250 kW (prime) each, total installed capacity 5,000 kW at 415V,
50Hz, 3-phase.
Step-up transformer: 5 MVA, ONAN, 415V Δ / 24kV Y (Dyn11 vector group). Oil-filled with containment
bund sized to 110% of oil volume per AS 1940.
RMU: Lucy Electric Aegis 24kV IBB standalone kiosk. SF6 gas-insulated, 630A, 21kA/3s fault rated. 5-way configuration: 3× Load Break Switch (LBS) + 2× Circuit Breaker (CB). Remote switching on all CBs and isolators. 24kV/240V auxiliary transformer for protection relays. IP54 kiosk with double front doors, side ventilation, galvanised steel grating floor, concrete plinth. Compliant with AS 62271.200, IEC 62271-200.
HV cable from transformer to RMU and from RMU to site boundary: single-core XLPE, sized per AS/NZS 3008 for
full plant output.
Fuel storage: 22kL self-bunded fuel tank (20kL safe fill) per AS 1940 with integrated 110% containment. Lube
oil and coolant stored in dedicated bunded store with south-side service access.
Earthing system: Buried earth ring conductor around site perimeter — 70mm² bare copper. Earth rods at
corners — 3m copper-bonded. Target earth resistance ≤1Ω. Designed per AS/NZS 3000 and ENA NENS 09.
Minimum clearances: 3m around transformer (fire separation), 1.5m service clearance around gensets, 2m
clearance around switchboard (rear access).
All electrical installations to comply with AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS 2067, and relevant state electrical
safety regulations.
Acoustic enclosures on all gensets to achieve ≤85 dB(A) at 1m. Site boundary noise to be assessed per local
council requirements.
Ventilation: Powerhouse ventilation to maintain ambient temperature below 40°C. Louvres and exhaust fans as
required per CAT installation guide.
Fire protection: Detection and suppression system per AS 1670 and BCA requirements. Fire water tank with
pump set and ring main.
